Little did I know that he scheduled my appointment on his day off! Regardless, Juan was completely professional and charismatic, and did a phenomenal job of making sure I was calm before he started the gun, and that my mother's nerves were eased along the way. Juan explained that he had other people scheduled to walk in that day, but if I texted the pictures to him, he would get a sketch drawn up so that we could get started as soon as I walked in the next day. I walked in the day before my appointment with an exact idea of how I wanted my medical alert tattoo to look.

Now, I am proud to say that my precious skin has been marked by the amazing tattoo artist, Juan. To be clear, before my visit to Timeless Ink, I was a tattoo virgin. Didn't realize I needed one, but now I've found my tattoo spot in H-town. (My brother even scheduled an appointment with him following my tattoo journey)I don't know what I expected, but the whole experience was hella fast, minimally painful, very chill, and there was no blood in sight (which prevents me from granting Juan the title of unofficial blood brother but whatever). They tattooed famous NFL, NBA, and many more athletic figures in Houston such as DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller, DJ Reader, Montrez Harrell and many more. And if you still don't believe me, see for yourself. A tattoo shop that is willing to work with me and make me feel at home is a place that I would never think twice about going to. Not only are they very welcoming, but they make you feel wanted. I had a few laughs with another associate, Ruben Vera, and from there on out, I knew I picked the right place. Arturo Hernandez was the artist who patiently worked with me and I really got to know him outside of his tattooing expertise. In some stories, you often hear tattoo artists to be very judgemental and rude. We make stereotypical remarks on how the shop is going to be and how the artists are going to be dictators.

We all have our doubts when we walk into a tattoo shop for the very first time. Not only are the tattoos great, but the associates are great as well. If you don't believe me, I highly recommend you follow their Instagram accounts. What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said? The art are stunning.
